FEBRUARY 10, 2012

Scuba had a great 2011, with a stellar DJ Kicks release and the instant classic 'Adrenalin' smashing up dancefloors worldwide all year long.  The mercurial Hotflush label boss is set to release his next full length, 'Personality',' March 13 in the US.  A non-album cut, 'Flash Addict' is available for free download here and there online, and a video for 'The Hope,' the first single, dropped this week.  The tune features classic rave vocal stylings and a hypntoic beat that sizzles along in the future bass/deep techno territory Scuba inhabits so well. The video itself recalls early MTV - lots of cut-up black and white visual samples, an elephant underwater, and a crew of kids in a coordinated rave-dancing-as-yoga sequence at the end.  All in all, an entertaining slice of culture.  Can't wait for the full length.
